You've heard me say it before, no boring breakfasts. It is the beginning of your day, after all, and it truly adds either a spark or a "meh" vibe as you start. I'm not one to make significant, elaborate breakfasts unless I have guests or it's a holiday, so don't worry that this delicious bowl of goodness will take you any longer than ten minutes, and it might take you five.
Notes: Yogurt is unsweetened Greek, vanilla-bean.
PAN-TOASTED MAPLE PECAN & OAT CRUMBLE YOGURT BOWL
Ingredients: 1 tbsp. butter (or ghee or coconut oil), 1/2 cup chopped pecans, 1/3 cup rolled oats, 1 tbsp. pure maple syrup, a pinch of sea salt, 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon, 1 cup yogurt, 2 tbsp. warmed nut butter, 1 tsp. chia seeds.
1. Melt the butter in a skillet pan over medium heat, then add the chopped pecans, oats, maple syrup, sea salt, and cinnamon. Push around the pan for 5 minutes or so until toasted and fragrant. Remove to cool slightly. 2. Dollop yogurt into your bowl.
